BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK – 13th-19th March – a Global Campaing to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science #brainweek
The three main areas of your brain are –
- Cerebrum – The front and larger part of the brain is called the cerebrum. The cerebrum is responsible for the senses, thinking and memory.
- Cerebellum – The smaller and back part of the brain is called the cerebellum. This part is mainly responsible for motor control.
- Brain Stem – The brain stem is the part of the brain which is linked by the spinal cord to the rest of the body. It is responsible for all unconscious activities, such as breathing.
Twinkl writes that this event is a great opportunity to discuss the topic of the brain with your class. We’re sure you’ve got a brainy bunch, so educate them all about the amazing world of brains with our collection of resources here; we’ve got plenty of fun activities too, all ready to be incorporated into your Brain Awareness Week lesson plans.
