I bought this amplifier for my 89 year old mother as other types never seemed to work very long and she had a hard time changing batteries. As this amplifier had a charger like a cell phone, I decided to try it. WELL, mother just loves it. Likes the fact that it looks like a ‘bluetooth’ and not a hearing device. AND no batteries to change!
I am surprised to read negative reviews of this product. For me, it works great and is well worth the price. I use it every day, and I really like the rechargable factor. I would absolutely recommend it and would buy it again. On rare occasions, there is a little static, but it is short lived and clears up quickly. Someone told me that it may have something to do with being a wireless device, and occasional interference from other wireless devices in my apartment building is to be expected. But, like I say, any static is short lived and rare.
This item is useless. When used, it manages to amplify noises much better then any other sounds, plus it adds quite a bit of white noise itself. I had to use it without any of the ear plugs to get the “best quality” sound, and even then I could understand speech much better without it, then with it. Do not buy it. If you really feel like spending your money, just give it to charity.
