Omron HEM-711 DLX Review
I have an older unit (not an Omron), and the cuff was just a little too small for my arm, so I decided to purchase a unit with a cuff that would properly fit my arm. After researching and reading the reviews here at Amazon, I purchased the 711 DLX. It seems to work fine. I can’t fully attest as to the accuracy yet because I haven’t brought it to my MD for a side by side comparison, but based on my personal BP history I’d have to say it’s accurate. From what I’ve read about BP monitors, it is important to have the proper cuff size otherwise you may get a false or inaccurate reading of your BP. The nicest surprise with this unit is how easy it is to position it on your arm! My old unit had the usual fabric cuff and in the process of securing the velcro closure it had a tendency to spin around on my arm. This 711 DLX has a type of pre-formed cuff that is much easier to use. I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing this unit.

I have no complaints with this and the price is great, and it is so easy to use. One issue I have though -and I have the same problem in the Dr’s office- is that it only has a 17″ cuff. If you have big arms, you may want to find a 19″ cuff in order to get an accurate reading. Since I am not the main person using this monitor, it fits our needs, but I need to have the cuff adjusted just so, to get an accurate reading.

I am very happy with this purchase… did research on different brands in a similar price range and this seemed to get the highest reviews. It’s very easy to use and the memory feature is really helpful. Not all BP cuffs come with the AC adaptor so that was an added bonus (along with a nice bag that fits in well, don’t have to jam it in like other cuffs). It also fits larger arm sizes, which is not always the case. Most importantly though, I recently took it with me to my doctor’s office to compare it with their’s and it was extremely accurate. The nurse was very impressed with the ease of use too! Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an inexpensive, quality cuff.

Omron HBF-306C Review
As always omron has made a very good reliable measuring device, it is very easy to use and to prgram , and take the measurment in seconds, the reason that i gave it 4 stars is the fact that it does not keep a log of the previuos measurments,so that I can keep track of my progress

I compared the readings from the Omron HBF-306C with a very accurate fat measuring scale (used for measuring bariatric patients prior to surgery) at the hospital I work at and the Omron reads about 7% lower than your actual body fat measurement. So as long as you realize that it is off by A LOT, then get it and just add 7% to the measurement you get from the Omron.

This is a great product. I don’t think any of these fat loss monitors really show any consistency when measured side by side. I also have a fat loss scale and both use the same technology but they are completely different. My scale shows me at 15 percent body fat and the Omron shows me at 10 percent. The main thing is to get a base line of what you are at on first reading and then you should be able to have something to gage against. Take the reading at the same time everyday. Read the instructions. Good luck.

This device really helps me keep track of my training and diet. It’s fast and easy. You just set up a profile (you can do up to 10 profiles) once and you can just input your weight. Could not be any simpler.

Two of the previous reviewers noted that their monitors didn’t accurately read their blood pressure. I’m wondering if they made the same mistake that I made with my first two readings. My first two readings were 20 points higher than normal!! And then I read the instructions and realized that the air pump had to be on the same side as the palm of your hand. Tried a third time, making sure I had the air pump properly positioned. The next reading was normal. What a relief. When I was researching which monitor to get, I debated between the Omron HEM-780 and this one. For whatever reason, the HEM-780 sells more on Amazon. The only advantages I could see, however, were that it had a larger cuff, a so-called Comfit cuff, and saves the last 90 readings rather than the last 60. What sold me on this unit, however, was a feature that the HEM-780 doesn’t have — an irregular heart beat indicator (not mentioned in the Amazon.com description but shown in the PDF of the owner’s manual at www.omronhealthcare.com). Since the 9″-13″ upper arm cuff was fine for me, I bought this unit and it’s perfect for my needs. The Omron technology is otherwise the same for both units and the cuff on this unit is also comfortable so no need for the Comfit cuff. If you need a larger cuff (up to 17″), buy the HEM-780. If not, save the $12, get the same technology with the added bonus of the irregular heart beat indicator.

I ordered this blood pressure monitor after checking several online reviews. The Omron HEM 711A/C had the best ratings compared to other brands within the same priceline. I began shopping for the best price and Amazon beat the competitors by $20 or more. Amazon also offered free shipping with purchase. Since receiving this monitor my family has found it very simple to operate and that makes it more likely to be used. This unit offers ease of use and is capable of running on battery or electric power. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this monitor after using my granpa’s (which he’s used for 5 years) and reading reviews online. So far, I have been satisfied with the product as it seems to be built very well. The only reason I wouldn’t give it five stars is because the memory and other interface functions are very simple and do not have many advanced features. It does keep an average, however, which is good.

Omron HEM-650 Review
My Omron HEM-650 has been working very well after turning off the APS. Before I was instructed to turn off the APS, the monitor would not inflate. Since turning off the APS, it has worked fine.

I can only have my blood pressure taken in my right arm, and I don’t get good readings with the traditional BP monitors. This works great, is easy to use, and has fantastic memory functions. My only complaint is that you have to move your arm around to find the right position for the monitor to work, and sometimes that takes a little time. We gave one of these monitors to my elderly father-in-law, and he kept saying it didn’t work. He didn’t have the patience to move his arm around, and we don’t live close enough to teach him how to do it. So it may not be the right monitor for someone who doesn’t have patience, or for someone that you can’t sit down and teach how to use it.

Great product with consistent readings. I did turn the Advanced Positioning Sensor off though. The APS detects if your wrist is in the correct position but I found at times that I would have to have my wrist up in the middle of the air to get the alarm to shut off and I felt that was incorrect in order to correctly take your blood pressure. I found that at times it would take 4+ tries to get the alarm to shut off. I want to wrap the monitor around my wrist, set my wrist to a correct position that most who take their blood pressure on a normal basis are aware of, turn the thing on and forget about it. Alarms? Forget it. Other than the APS, I would recommend buying this monitor. Great price and all in a small package.

It’s a great product. Very easy to use, and very accurate with weight (I double checked with the scale in my doc’s office and gym). I’m not sure about the accuracy of the body fat calculation as I couldn’t verify it. Nevertheless, I would recommend this scale to everyone.

I really like this scale. It’s consistent, which I’ve come to realize is very important when trying to keep a record of your weight. The only (minor) complaint that I have about is that the description intimated that you would be able to store 90 (I think) days of data – consecutively. That’s not true. You can weigh yourself today, and compare it against one day, seven days, thirty days, or ninety days ago. But if you want to know what you weighed three days ago, you’re out of luck. I do like all the features, and would definitely recommend it to others.

I don’t usually write reviews… but I’m so happy with this scale that I shall everyone know. I have used 3 other scales with fat% measurement, and I didn’t dislike them, but this scale is slightly more accurate, has a much richer interface and range of measurement. If you are an athlete, trying to gain/loose weight or you really care about your body, you would be surprised by the ease of use and type of measurements you get by this scale.

Omron HEM-790IT Review
After getting many false readings from a wrist type monitor, my doctor suggested that I look into buying a digital cuff BP monitor. Lucky for me that I did, because I had been living with untreated hypertension for who knows how long. Anyway, I took this one with me to a few pharmacies that have free BP apperatus to check the numbers for accuracy and it was perfect. I love it because it’s easy to use and PC interactive if you want to use that option. However, you do not have to own a computer to use it. This is also the same one that one of my doctors uses in his office. I can’t say enough good things about it. If you have hypertension, this is a must have.

My sister told me that her doctor recommended Omron, so I figured it was worth a try. The coolest part is the software. With it you can track, graph and follow your readings over time. I print my graphed readings (in nice contrasting colors for day vs night, sytolic vs diastolic, etc.) and have over a year that I can review at this poit. I highly recommend this product.

Concerned about your blood pressure? This is the one you should get. More than likely, it’s you and the wife. Perfect. It has two settings that will keep track of your blood pressure readings. “A” one person, “B” the other person, and a guest to boot! Just read the directions. Easy. However, if you are not a computer person, get the less expensive model. This model has software that can download the info to the computer so you get a history for the doctor. You can print it out. The bottom line, for me, it’s a fairly cheap way to keep tabs on a segment of your health.

Omron HEM-780 Review
As a primary care physician, I’ve seen a lot of BP monitors that my patients bring to the office to check for accuracy and other features. This one seems to be the best. The easy to apply cuff, auto inflation, its accuracy, the memory, the averaging feature, the AC converter all make it worth the slightly higher price over other Omrons, which I consider the most accurate brand. Since I too have high blood pressure, I decided to buy one myself!

I work for a major rx chain, have sold many of these models. This one is the best of the omron line. The cuff is awesome, easy to wrap around the arm. We sell this unit for 1oo bucks. I should have bought mine at amazon.

I haven’t had the chance to conpare this unit to the readings at the doctors office (taking them at the same time). But I have taken readings at the drug store and then 5 min later taking it at home. It does seem to give true readings. They has never been any really off readings. No wild swings.
It is very easy to use and comes with good instructions and a nice carrying case. Makes it easy to take on vacation with you. AC adapter makes it where you don’t have to worry about dead batteries.

It’s made routine BP checks eeeeeasy… so now I actually *do* check my BP instead of just intending to check. The display is big enough to read easily, even if I’ve forgotten my reading glasses (again). I’ve used the memory (last 90 results) to show a month-long trend to the doctor while in the process of changing BP meds. Some have found the “ComFit Cuff” too tight, but it fits my arm nicely (I’m 205 lb, 6′1″). The only thing I’d change is to have the built-in “average” function do an average over the last 20 measurements instead of the last 3 — but that’s probably just a personal preference.

Omron HJ-720ITC Review
The Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer is exactly what I was looking for. I needed something I could just throw in my pocket, do what I needed to do all day and check my steps and this works great. The belt clip and the cord are great accessories for the pedometer so it can go anywhere. I don’t really use it for the computer hook-up, but I did install the disc and for a hardcore walker that would help keep track of everything for you. I bought it to start keeping track of my steps so I can get healthier.. seems to be pretty accurate.

I have nothing bad to say about this Pedometer. Being able to track things both on the pedometer and on my computer makes things much more interesting….challenges me to do more! A great help in monitoring my daily walking…I LOVE the way it differentiates aerobic steps. I highly recommend this.

As soon as I got it I loved it. I have had other perdometers and none compare to the Omron. I really like being able to keep track on my computer to see how well (or how bad) I am doing thoughout the week and month. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a perdometer.

This pedometer has good and bad features, but for the most part I really like it. The problems I have with it are that it is a bit bulkier than the other peodometer I owned prior to this one, and it comes unclipped fairly easily. The feature I like most is that you can download the information to the software that comes with it, which tracks how you’re doing against goals and stores historical information. I also like that it tracks aerobic steps.

This is a good, simple, heart rate monitor without additional bells and whistles that I probably wouldn’t use anyway. It was shipped quickly and the price was the best I have seen, including at local stores. I have used it frequently to transmit my heart rate on the machines at the Y. I have had no problems or issues with it. I am completely happy with my purchase.

bought this monitor at a great price and it’s worth it. I’m sure there are other monitors out there that are better, but this one still gives you a good indication of your training level. The strap is comfortable and snug. Just like any monitor you have to slightly wet the conductors to get an accurate reading. I did get some fluctuations at certain points but I just had to adjust the strap. The mounting bracket is great and easy to snap on and off. Good for bike riders like me.
