For some unknown reason the package came with an additional adapter attached to the original package. I couldn’t detect any difference between the two, but thought perhaps the extra one was included because it was somehow better, so I used it first. After two unsuccessful attempts to stop it from leaking I saw that the adapter itself was leaking so I tried the adapter included with the original package. Worked perfectly on the first try! No explanation anywhere as to why the extra one was included.

This is my first experience with a bidet and I’ve got to admit I’m lovin’ it! While the white noise is effective and the machine works well, if you own a humidifier it sounds the same as running it on high and the humidifier may cost less. The main advantage of the noise machine is that it is small and compact.

This device has two settings – very loud and considerably louder. The loudness in decibels isn’t rated in the product listing, but it’s much like having a V8 engine running in one’s bedroom. I was only able to use it by turning it on the lower setting and shutting it in my closet. The SleepMate 980A is not appropriate for anyone who is not already partially deaf.

I like this product. I looked into other sound machines, the fancy ones that play different sounds, they got mixed reviews and cost more. In the end, I opted for something simple. This won’t make sounds like waves or crickets, but sounds close to a small fan. It’s a gentle sound, you can adjust volume and pitch a bit. The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is the size. It’s not large, but a little big for travel. Just saw a smaller model, I would have gotten that one had I seen it before. If you are looking for a noise machine to help you sleep, try this one before the crickets

This sound conditioner came with glowing reviews on Amazon, so I may have expected too much. This system is essentially a small fan, with a limited variable speed setting, but it’s not more than open holes (pictured) with sliding closures, and is somewhat disruptive (a humidifier, for example, would serve a similar purpose). It is good in canceling out potentially distracting sounds, but I can’t honestly say it’s better than relative silence. It’s fairly priced, and is compactly designed, but I was hoping for greater variation in tone and speed. For me, it does not drop to a level that creates a more soothing tone, so I’m considering not using it at all. Also, though slight, this unit may be less effective in the winter, when the fan may decrease actual room temperature slightly.

I bought this for our desk, as we both are on the computer quite a bit. My husband has a website and spends lots of time there, and as a smoker, and also with a wood stove and 3 dogs, I was tired of washing the walls and windows in the winter. It’s saved my walls and windows, along with another larger unit in an opposite corner of our main room. Easy to clean and wash, no expense for filters like my 600.00 model (which is now in the bedroom and pretty much worthless). The noise on medium is certainly tolerable and not offensive in the least, and draws all smoke directly into the unit. Honeywell is certainly the best of all the units we’ve had, or experienced in our construction business.

This Honeywell HHT-011 tabletop air purifier turned out to be just what I needed. It sits on a dresser in the bedroom. It is very stable, does NOT shake or vibrate, but produces a kind of “white noise” that is amazingly conducive to sleep (you can barely hear it on the lowest of the three speeds)we keep it on the medium speed. The air is cleaner, we no longer sneeze upon waking, and I don’t need to dust as often. One of my main reasons for buying this product was that it has a permanent HEPA filter which can be cleaned and reused. (Our PREVIOUS air purifier was large-taking up too much floor space, it was too noisy, it was an electricity hog, and you needed to buy a new replacement filter as necessary – costing way too much to run.) THIS PRODUCT is compact, powerful enough to keep the room fresh and clean, easy and not expensive to maintain. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this air purifier.

I bought this item based on past positive experiences with Honeywell items. In a bedroom, it is amazingly quiet on the lowest fan setting. The ionizer is a neat feature in this price class, although the night light feature with its UFO greenish glow is kind of stupid, but at least it can be turned on or off. The medium setting is comparable to the low setting on the old air purifier it replaces. The washable/reusable pre-filter is a great idea as this is the part of any filter that gets dirty first. Since the HEPA filter only needs replacement every couple of years under normal use, the savings of not having to replace the older style fixed pre-filter/HEPA combo is a huge bonus. Highly recommended for small rooms.

Bought this for our bedroom in which our 5month old sleeps in there for now, very good on low for white noise however low isnt enough it doesn’t seem and medium and high is a little loud, no problem though just crank it up when you aren’t sleeping. This unit will cool the room down a bit though, been using it throughout the winter and needed a space heater to make up for the cool air it produces (should be perfect for summer), but no biggie cool air is fresh air. Cleared out the slight dog smell and air is definitely cleaner. I would recommend this product, does its job well on high and holds its own on low.

We have a store-brand ear thermometer and it works okay for an adult, but this Braun is much more comfortable which translates into a much more pleasant baby (who is already grumpy enough when sick). I also prefer the type of ear inserts this Braun uses over the stretchy plastic kind as they are faster and easier to attach and discard (just personal preference). An important factor for us was our pediatric doctor’s (and his nurse’s) recommendation. This is the one that they use.

I am sure I am not the first parent who has had to try and keep a struggling child steady while waiting 2+ minutes for the thermometer to register a reading. In this regard, the Braun ThermoScan is ideal. It takes an accurate ear reading in just a few seconds! The probe also does not feel cold to the touch, so my child actually seems to like having her temperature taken. The only drawback so far is that the LCD panel is not back-lit. It is impossible to see the reading in the semi-darkness, and one has to go to a light source to check the measurement. Otherwise, a great product.

I ordered the Braun Thermoscan Earm Thermometer in preparation for our new baby. Then, my husband, 8 yr.-old, and I all got the flu. This thermometer was so handy. The thermometer works so quickly and easily that I could take temperatures while my family slept. My son has autism and is especially sensitive to things like having his temperature taken, and he did not balk once with this tool. Overall, this is my favorite thermometer that I have used since becoming a mom. I am very happy with the purchase.

This is our first digital ear thermometer and the only question that comes to mind is why didn’t we get one sooner? The directions are very understandable and we were able to use the thermometer right away. Compared to taking your temperature with the old style thermometers, this is a breeze. It literally takes a couple of seconds to take your temperature. The only concern that we have is how difficult it is going to be to get new tips. It probably would be a good idea to buy an additional supply early on so you don’t have to hunt for them when you need to use the thermometer. Also, the digital screen is very readable.

I was purchasing the Thermoscan Thermometer for a medical mission trip to Honduras. I ordered it about a week before departure and it made it on time, even a couple days early. The product worked perfectly and helped the medical team deliver health care fast and efficiently in the remote areas of Honduras…fast …efficiently…and on time…as I expected.

Runnier than expected, so that can present a challenge. But works well and a little goes a LONG way.

I am on verge on medicine needs for high blood pressure and wanted my own machine to keep an eye on daily fluctuations. Consumer Report says this is a #1 machine and it is very, very convenient and works so well. You’ll be happy with this purchase.

Likes it overall. Wish it was a little smaller and more portable – looking at the picture, didn’t expect it to be of this size. But gives pretty accurate readings – same as what my doctor reads manually. Very easy-to-use – no help needed from others. Stores a lot of old readings and calculates averages. Reads heartbeat rate also. Can be used with batteries or ac adaptor – but if no battery put in, the date/time will not be correct.

I like the way this product works, with one exception: it purports to record the history of your blood pressure readings (with date/time) but apparently this feature only works if you use the battery option (4x AA). If you use it with the AC adapter as I do, the history feature is useless because the unit requires the AAs to keep the date. That seems crazy. They should have a button battery as is used in PCs to hold the date/time.

Being a nurse, i’ve used all sorts of makes and models to monitor blood pressure, including the self application type. Most are flawed by poor unstable connectors, tubes too short to reach between patient and device, clumsy to wrap, the air supply knob is either too tight or too loose, or electrical cords too short to be practical, etc. I was hesitant, skeptical and reluctant to pay this much. (I don’t mind so much if it just works!) Now that the OMRON DLX Automatic Comfort Cuff has been in use for almost a month, it has proven it’s worth! All the cords/connections are ample and stable. The reading is accurate and easy to obtain, even one-handed. It stays put when placed on the upper arm above the elbow, is comfortable and easy to complete the velcro closure. The memory allows comparison over a significant period of time and is a handy feature. I haven’t tried to use it on battery power, but it gets my thumbs up!
